Although I have often thought about paving my driveway, I didn’t think that I would do it anytime soon. I certainly didn’t wake up the other morning thinking I would pave my driveway today. Then came Joe. Joe is the nephew and salesman for Ted’s Asphalt, a family business. Joe stopped by and asked me if I had ever thought of paving my driveway. I responded with a “as matter of fact, I was thinking about it today “. He told me that he had a crew working in our subdivision. We drove around the subdivision and Joe showed me some of their recent work. I had also heard that Ted’s Asphalt had done the parking lot at the new Madison Foods. Afterwards, Joe gave me a very fair price and after shuffling some money around I agreed to have him pave my driveway. I told Joe my expectations and that I was very anal about quality work being done around my home. I thought it would be a day or so before they would start, then Joe said that would complete it that day. I didn’t really believe it. Sure enough, Joe and his crew showed up later that afternoon. Then things started to happen. I have never seen a crew work in such unison. Each member of the crew knew his job and executed it without delay. These guys didn’t just walk, hell, they ran to every task. Then, I thought that they may just get it done. All was going great then a problem arose. After one load of asphalt was delivered, another truck arrived with more asphalt but the truck refused to dump it’s load. After a short time, Ted, the owner pulled up and solved the problem then started helping the crew. The crew got after it and I got out some temporary lights. That crew worked until after 11pm laying down the asphalt that night. I was exhausted and I didn’t really do any work. I could only imagine how tired the crew was but they kept going. They compacted the fresh asphalt and returned the next morning to finish and clean up. I am totally impressed with Ted’s Asphalt, and from some past experiences,I am not usually impressed with contractors quality of work. I was so impressed with the quality and work ethic of everyone involved that I felt compelled to give the crew a $1500 tip. Keep in mind, that I work hard for my money and I don’t just give it away but I was so impressed with Ted’s crew that I would have felt bad if I didn’t reward their work. If you want a quality job for a reasonable price then Ted’s Asphalt is your company to hire. Thanks Ted, Joe and Crew you are truly outstanding.

Ted was amazingly responsive and came out to give a quote the same day I reached out to him. His crew was there to do the job within two days! They took great care in keeping the oil-based asphalt sealer off of the house siding and moved planters, hoses, and storage boxes from the driveway before they started their work. There was one small issue with the way the sealer was spread/brushed in one area of the driveway. As Ted originally guaranteed, he sent the crew out again to make it right. I wasn't expecting it, but they re-sealed the entire driveway again, just to make sure everything blended well. Truly a team that takes great pride in their work! Would 100% recommend. You get what you pay for and they follow through on their promises. Thank you guys!
